Optics *activities available as photocopies |
This unit is set up a little differently than the others. I have included online lessons and virtual labs for this unit. These virtual labs are great, but are no substitute for the real thing. You are expected to do several similar labs using real mirrors and lenses in the classroom. The lab manuals for "Conceptual Physics", "Modern Physics" and other texts have many good labs on reflection, refraction and optics. The guide to the "Optics Discovery Classroom Kit" has some activities to get you started also. You may also wish to design your own labs based upon these labs or the virtual ones whose links follow. |
